<image:caption>Collection Theme The brand team had asked us to explore a range of concepts, but asked us to not stray too far from our core label lockup. They shared a few past collection examples with us and where they fit in relation with our core label. They asked us to create concepts that fell within the subtle to bold nod to theme.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Garden Hideaway Collection</image:title>
<image:caption>Moodboard After learning more about the Garden Hideaway collection, our team provided a few moldboards that we felt aligned with the overall theme and vision. We loved the idea of hand drawn botanical illustrations, ripped cotton paper, muted color palettes, touches of foil, and bold serif fonts.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Round One Concepts For round one, our team presented concepts that were a bold nod to the theme. We shared concepts with different types of illustration styles and different ways to incorporate the ripped paper. The brand team thought these first concepts were beautiful, but asked us to add back in the photography.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Garden Hideaway Collection</image:title>
<image:caption>Round Two Concepts For round two, our team presented 3 different concepts—all which included photography. The first concept we wanted the frame to symbolize a seed packet. The second and third concepts were similar, with minor differences in: color, width, and the copy lock up. The team narrowed in on the third concept with a few minor tweaks.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Nature's Wick</image:title>
<image:caption>Exisiting Logos Nature’s Wick previously had two different logos, one used in North America and the other used in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA.) We wanted to created one universal logo that was more modern and clean.</image:caption>
</image:image>
<image:image>
<image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5fd76d93fd756c1ce4dc2247/1608497620800-UP3BVP5FMIFNHS04J983/natureswick-logo-exploration.jpg</image:loc>
<image:title>Work - Nature's Wick</image:title>
<image:caption>Logo Exploration I explored many different logo types: lettermarks, wordmarks, and combination marks. I wanted to explore options that were close to the existing logo and ones that were very different. The brand team decided on a logo that was closer in to what was existing.</image:caption>
</image:image>
<image:image>
<image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5fd76d93fd756c1ce4dc2247/1608497671763-USK99FHZWA2LI0H5AQ8D/natures-wick-label-exploration.jpg</image:loc>
<image:title>Work - Nature's Wick</image:title>
<image:caption>Label Exploration I explored different materials, finishes, styles and sizes for the labels. Because of the tapered candle vessel, we had to work around a label size that wouldn’t become warped or peel off easily. A square, slightly rectangular, shaped label became the best solution for the tapered jar. We decided to steer away from foil and other premium looking labels, so that Nature’s Wick wouldn’t compete with Woodwick, a higher price point sub brand.</image:caption>
</image:image>

<image:title>Work - Nature's Wick</image:title>
<image:caption>The Final Logo & Label We landed on a tree free, environmentally friendly, label. The square shape insured no warping or peeling would happen on the tapered jar. We introduced the updated modernized logo at the top of the label, with a subtle organic leaf illustration peaking from the bottom. The Fragrance name is clearly shown at the bottom of the label with a corresponding color.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Contigo + Coachella</image:title>
<image:caption>Additional Concepts I created over 12 concepts for leadership to review. I took inspiration from Southwestern design and elements within the desert—and created a variety of abstract and literal patterns. Again, because of screen printing, we were limited to the use of 3-4 colors and these colors would have to work on a coral + blue colored water bottle.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work - Contigo + Coachella</image:title>
<image:caption>Final Concept For the chosen concept we focused on using the iconic Coachella Ferris wheel + desert palm trees—while adding in the half tone effect to create dimension and movement within the pattern. Our team decided adding in “Coachella x Contigo” made these water bottles feel more special and desirable—and could potentially become a collectable item.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Concept Three—Chosen Concept Through this concept, I wanted to totally break out of the existing VBL, and take a new approach. Through this concept, we shared our passion behind our work and told a story. The idea is that Rubbermaid is on a new path because they took this big step to partner with TerraCycle—and because of this new partnership Rubbermaid is working on creating a cleaner, more beautiful world. The color palette is almost entirely green and blue, which complements the pops of the Rubbermaid red. We also brought it a recycled texture to reiterate our sustainable journey.</image:caption>
