Aura by WoodWick,
a premium and gift-able candle
The ”Aura” candle, by WoodWick, is a speciality candle filled with white wax that complements the collection's contemporary design. It is packaged in a premium and unique gift box that is perfect for gifting or keeping for yourself.
I was tasked with helping our packaging team create a new gift box structure while creating a completely new design to skin the boxes with. Within a 4 day time span, we were able to create 2 new packaging structures and skin them with 2 different design concepts.

Existing Packaging
The brand team provided photos to us of the existing Aura packaging. Although the team loved what was created originally, they wanted to see another version for the future.
Design Inspiration
I was inspired by delicate wooden packaging, with small touches of leather and embossing. Dark colors, with a spot varnish, and hints of gold throughout the packaging.
Concept One
For this concept, I suggested the packaging to be flooded with a matte deep navy color. A modern, geometric pattern would overlay the packaging as a spot vanish. With touches of gold placed throughout the packaging, along with a badge that reads “elegantly made.”
Concept Two
For this concept, I suggested the packaging to be flooded with a matte charcoal color. The dark colors would be complimented with a golden wood veneer, pops of gold foil and an elegant, abstract leaf pattern. We originally suggested that the wood veneer would be laser cut on the top of the packaging.
