Connected Sunbeam Blanket
Control your heated blanket from anywhere
Control your heated blanket from anywhere with this new Connected Sunbeam Blanket. It can be controlled through the Sunbeam App, Voice Control, or the Controller. The blanket can be purchased as a single or dual zone so you can control and customize both sides of the blanket.
I worked with our UX Research team to create a custom app through Tuya, a global IoT platform. I created multiple screen states, an app tutorial, and the App Store screens. I also worked on the packaging for the new Sunbeam Connected line.

App Exploration
I explored different elements throughout the app including toggles, icons, buttons and tumblers.
Home + Preheat
Select your side and easily set your heat level with the tumbler. Preheat your bed so it’s ready for you when you want.
Set Schedules
Set schedules so that your blanket will automatically turn on and be ready for you when you need it to be. You can even set schedules when your blanket is turned off.
Timer
From the home screen you can adjust the timer for auto-off. You can also adjust timer and other settings within the schedule page.
App Store Screens
Creating an eye catching, dynamic graphic for when users are looking at the app within the App Store.
Tutorial Screens
Users can choose to walkthrough the different screens that explain how the app functions, or choose to skip it.
Packaging Style Guide
Creating a new look for the Sunbeam Connected line. Sunbeam is proud of their wire technology, safety features, and that their blankets are assembled in the USA. Knowing this, I introduced blue into the color palette, and added an abstract wire element into the packaging. The wire elements plays out throughout the packaging cleverly, within text lock ups, the softness rating and the pattern.
